-Window scantlings
|
Window scantlings for timber/timber-aluminium windows with nanoporous high-tech insulation
material Spaceloft® which allows you to reduce the Uf value of your window system by up to
0.4 W/m²K.
Produce passive house windows over night!
With your new standard technology for 90 cm windows, you can now produce passive house
windows satisfying all criteria of the passive house institute without problems and at a reasonable price.
Construction principle
The scantling has a
multi-ply design whereas the
individual plys are rabbeted
individually.The high-performance
insulation material Spaceloft® is put
into these rabbets.
Spaceloft® exceeds the performance of usual
insulation materials by more than a
factor of 2.
Material properties of Spaceloft®
- nanoporous high-tech insulation material
- Heat conductivity 0.013 W/m²K
- Water-repellent / hydrophobic
- breathable / open to diffusion
- Sound insulation effect
- Pressure-resistant
- Incombustible
- Not dangerous in the sense of the Ordinance on Hazardous Substances

Insert milling
The grooves of each scantling are produced according to
the relevant length by means of insert milling. The
remaining minimum, non-rabbeted zone at the face end
of the scantling is 80 mm. Apart from that, the length of
this zone is to be agreed upon individually.
You can establish your corner connection and corner joint
connection as usual.
Insulation zone distribution
On the basis of your cross-sectional
window profile drawing, we
prepare your individual scantling drawings.
Each of your profile gets a serial
number and is stored in your
customer drawingset.
Order & delivery
The window scantlings are produced individually in an order-related form. In this
connection, it must be possible for us to allocate each order item to the corresponding window
profile.
The window scantlings are produced in a 5 cm grid. So that we don’t have to
shorten the non-grooved zone unnecessarily, we should know your minimum delivery length. As at
the time of your order, not much time is left, you should already have sent us your window profile
drawings in dxf or dwg format for the insulation zone distribution in advance.
